Family Workshop

Welcome to a Family Workshop for All Ages!

Bring a text you like — it can be a short sentence, a poem, a song lyric, or even something you’ve written yourself. Adults and children read together, share impressions, and let the words turn into drawings, colors, or shapes.

You don’t need to “draw well” — the focus is on exploring what we see and feel in response to the text.

We’ll be inspired by artists like Reidar Aulie, whose painting The Horse draws from words and stories, or Thorbjørn Lie-Jørgensen’s Storm (From Videheia), which he painted after reading about war in the newspaper.

This activity is perfect for both young and old who want to create together.

All materials are available at the workshop, but feel free to bring your favorite words!

This Saturday’s family workshop will be led by art educator Siren Løkaas.
