Artist's Books on the Climate Crisis
Climate Emergency Reading Room
In this travelling reading room you can browse through a selection of artistic books, zines and pamphlets with the climate crisis as a backdrop. You will not find academic articles or research reports here, but rather speculations, fabrications and reflections on what the climate crisis entails in terms of local issues, renewable energy, solarpunk, political organisation, grief, action, resource sharing and community. The climate crisis is an overwhelming, shared problem, but this collection focuses on the fact that there is also hope and strength in unity, community and cooperation.
Climate Emergency Reading Room was initiated by artists/designers Adam and Amelia Greenhall from Anemone (USA). This edition of the reading room, which is on display at Stavanger kunstmuseum, has been curated in collaboration between Anemone, Jessica Williams (NO) and Bergen Art Book Fair. Reading Room hosts are Benjamin Hickethier and Ann-Kristin Stølan.
