Maria Nepomuceno
Afetosyntesis
Using coloured rope and beads, Brazilian artist Maria Nepomuceno (b.
1976) creates organic sculptures that spread outwards and fill the room.
Her large, often spiral-shaped works are inspired by old Brazilian
craft traditions. For each exhibition,
she creates sculptures adapted to the place where they are shown. An exhibition catalogue with installation photos will be published. Photo: Maria Nepomuceno, Untitled, 2010, Courtesy Maria Nepomuceno and Victoria Miro Gallery | |
