Judit Tehel in conversation
Artist Judit Tehel in conversation with Hanne Beate Ueland
Artist Judit Wellisch Tehel (b. 1931) has lived a long life as an artist and art teacher in Stavanger. She is known for her exhibitions at Stavanger Art Association and Hå Old Vicarage in the 1990s. Many also know Tehel as an art teacher at Kongsgård School.
Stavanger Art Museum has acquired several of Tehel’s paintings for its collection, and these can be viewed on display at the museum this summer. A comprehensive book on Tehel’s artistic career was recently published by the Hungarian publishing house Equibrilyum Kiadó. We invite you to a conversation between Judit Tehel and museum director Hanne Beate Ueland about Tehel’s artistry, with particular focus on the paintings now part of the museum’s collection.
The conversation will be held in Norwegian.
