Weddings

A special occasion requires a special venue in order to have that unique experience. Stavanger Art Museum would offer just this kind of experience, but we unfortunately do not have the capacity at present.

We therefore recommend that you look into Utstein Monastery as an alternative.

Utstein Monastery is the only place in Norway that can offer wedding services – in the church or a secular ceremony elsewhere on the grounds – banquet facilities and sleeping arrangements, all on the same premises.

For church weddings, it is natural to use the church or monastery garden. For civil weddings, the abbot’s house would be ideal, as would the monastery garden.

We also have venues for wedding parties and can suggest the room that would be most suitable for your event and number of guests.
